Title: Christmas Cake Cookies

2 1/2cFlour
1tsBaking soda
1tsSalt
1tsCinnamon
1cButter
1 1/2cSugar
2 Eggs
2lbDates; pitted, cut in chunks
1/2lbCandied cherries; quartered
1/2lbCandied pineapple; thinly slivered
1/2lbAlmonds; blanched, coarsely chopped & toasted golden
1/2lbBrazil nuts; chopped

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and beat until smooth. Blend eggs in thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and all the fruit and nuts. Drop batter from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 400ø for 10 minutes. Don't overbake as cookies should be soft in texture. These are delicious little cookies which keep well.

Yields 150 to 170 cookies.
